The Simpsons 20th Anniversary Special in 3D on Ice airs Sunday starting at 8:00 P.M. and will be an hour and a half of the show (extending to 9:30 P.M.) stuffed with interviews, an episode of the show, a look at how far the show has come, and how the show had some controversial moments back when it all started on Fox and Global. The Simpsons 20th Anniversary Special in 3D on Ice is designed to celebrate how The Simpsons has become one of the most successful shows in the history of television. Hosted by Morgan Spurlock (Super Size Me), the hour-long special will explore everything about the show – from the characters and hundreds of guest starts over the years, to the controversies and the biggest fans across the world. It looks like it is going to be a show that no Simpsons fan will want to miss!
“…rarely has their been a show that has become as transcendent and ingrained in our daily lives, as the Simpsons,” says Spurlock in a preview for the episode. The Simpsons 20th Anniversary Special in 3D on Ice has already been re-newed for the next couple of seasons as well, so there are a lot of ideas that show must still have to work with as it approaches 500 total episodes. The Simpsons20th Anniversary Special is sure to be a lot of fun, and hopefully they cover the origination of the show all the way to its latest award nominations.
